English Compre Passage A:

1. She saw a young man on television who talked about running his second marathon in Chicago , even though one of his legs was artificial and that was what inspired her.

2. She understood as she herself had her feet amputated and replaced with false legs which caused painful sores to her stumps.

3. Cheryl felt honoured at meeting Kerry and respected him a lot.

4. When Jerry participated in his first marathon, his stump was swollen and bruised and he limped his way across the finish line, exhausted and in pain. However, he then got a phone call from a specialist in making false limps who agreed to help him.

5. Jerry realized how much Cheryl did not want to believe in all those negative answers and Cheryl wanted to do what her friends could do.

6. Cheryl went to get a pair of tennis shoes for her new legs and when she laced the shoes on, her eyes danced.
